October's Prize - The Poetry Pharmacy

​To launch my Artist of the Month raffle on my Patreon, I chose one of my most treasured possessions: The Poetry Pharmacy by William Sieghart. This collection was gifted to me years ago and has been a remedy for so many complex feelings—grief, sadness, anxiety, and more. It’s become my go-to when I find it hard to pick up the phone and talk to someone, offering comfort and hope when I feel lost.

 

I had the chance to attend a live event in London, where I saw William Sieghart alongside Stephen Fry, Harriet Walter, Denise Gough and Gloria Obianyo. Sieghart even signed my copy—the very one I gave away in the October draw. I’m proud that something so meaningful to me kick-started my monthly prize draw. I want each prize to hold the same personal significance, offering comfort or reflection, just as The Poetry Pharmacy does.
